Community Care Internships

New and dynamic volunteer placements are continuously being created through the collaborative efforts of our staff and previous volunteers. This is especially true for our Community Care program as there is a wide range of options for working within the local community. Previous volunteers have dedicated their time here to working in local health institutions as an English translator for doctors and nurses. A project concerning disease prevention has also been developed in which volunteers participate in the eradication of mosquito larvae as an effort to reduce the risk of contracting malaria. We are a very flexible organization, and our aim is not only to benefit our community, but also to provide our volunteers with unique and rewarding work experiences!


	Many volunteers have taken interest in our Special Education Project working with and caring for children with special needs. This project in particular is a wonderful opportunity for both Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

Calendar for the school year:

The school year begins in the middle of May, and the first semester runs until the end of September. There is a one month break during October, and school resumes in the beginning of November; the second semester running from November to the middle of March.
